My name is Kaitlin Dierks, and my horse is Luke, aka Born Lopin Cool. Luke and I are still a new pair, as I got him in November. I started showing in 4H when I was nine on my first horse named Rain doing English and Western.
My trainer is Paige Stroud, in Monroe WA. I have been riding for ten years, and showing for seven. I love showing in the Horsemanship because it challenges me to make my riding look clean and sharp while maneuvering through each element.
Apart from riding, I serve as the DECA Area 3 President for Washington State and compete in the team events. My favorite subject in school is English.
If Luke could talk he'd probably say, "Why work when I could eat?".
My idol is my trainer, Paige. She works hard and is well respected by everyone and has taught me how to be a more confident rider and person. My goals for this show season are to have clean patterns at the Youth World Show and to learn how to ride the reining!
I'm so excited to finally be a senior in high school, but even more excited to attend the University of Georgia and ride on their equestrian team. Go Dawgs!
